About the pedometer...


I did order the new one I mentioned last week. ... it was on sale at the time.

It's nice, but I find my old one was even less accurate than I thought. I'm averaging about 3000 steps a day. About a mile, which isn't very much when you think about it. It puts me in the sedentary category (of course, four Harry Potters in four days might have a bit to do with that).

The nice thing about "not very much", though, is that it leaves a huge space for improvement.

I think I'm going to try to go for 4000 steps a day next week. I suppose the ultimate goal is 10,000 but I'm obviously not there yet! This article says that even just going up by 2000 steps per day is a big help to fitness.
